🤷♀এক বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানে এক যুবক তার প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের এক শিক্ষককে দেখতে পেলেন।বহুদিন
পর ছোটবেলার শিক্ষককে দেখে যুবক তাঁর কাছে ছুটে গেলেন এবং বললেন, “স্যার, আপনি কি আমাকে চিনতে পেরেছেন ?”
👉At a wedding, a young man saw one of his primary school teachers. After a long time, the young man saw his childhood teacher and ran to him and said, “Sir, do you recognize me?”
🙇শিক্ষক বললেন, ”না, আমি খুব দুঃখিত,তোমাকে চিনতে পারছি না।”
👉The teacher said, “No, I’m so sorry I don’t recognize you.”
🗣যুবক তখন বললেন, “স্যার,আমি আপনার ছাত্র, আপনার মনে থাকার কথা, থ্রিতে পড়ার সময় আমাদের এক সহপাঠীর দামি একটি কলম চুরি হয়েছিল।
👉The young man then said, “Sir, I am your student, you must remember, one of our classmates’ expensive pen was stolen while studying in Three.
😪সেই সহপাঠী কাঁদতে কাঁদতে আপনাকে নালিশ করল। আর আপনি সব ছাত্রকে চোখ বন্ধ করে দেয়ালের দিকে মুখ করে দাঁড়াতে বললেন।
👉That classmate cried and complained to you. And you told all the students to close their eyes and face the wall.
🗣তারপর একজন একজন করে চেক করতে শুরু করলেন । আমি ভয়ে কাঁপতে লাগলাম। কারণ কলমটি ছিল আমার পকেটে।
👉Then one by one began to check. I trembled with fear. Because the pen was in my pocket.
🗣আমি যে কলমটি চুরি করেছি তা আবিষ্কার হওয়ার পর আমি যে লজ্জার মুখোমুখি হব, আমার শিক্ষকরা আমার সম্পর্কে যে ধারণা পাবেন, স্কুলে সবাই আমাকে ‘চোর’ বলে ডাকবে এবং এটি জানার পর আমার মা-বাবার কী প্রতিক্রিয়া হবে- এই সমস্ত ভাবতে ভাবতে আমার মরে যেতে ইচ্ছে হল।
👉The embarrassment I would face after discovering the pen I had stolen, the perception my teachers would get about me, everyone at school would call me a ‘thief’, and how my parents would react when they found out – all of this would make me die thinking I wish.
😪একসময় আমার পালা এল । আমি অনুভব করলাম আমার পকেট থেকে আপনি কলমটি বের করছেন।
Once it was my turn. I felt you take the pen out of my pocket.
😱কিন্তু আমি অবাক হয়ে লক্ষ্য করলাম আপনি কিছু বলছেন না এবং আপনি বাকী শিক্ষার্থীদের পকেট অনুসন্ধান করে চলেছেন।
👉But I was surprised to notice that you were not saying anything and you were searching the pockets of the rest of the students.
😓তারপর যখন অনুসন্ধান শেষ হল, আপনি আমাদের চোখ খুলতে বললেন এবং আমাদের সবাইকে বসতে বললেন।
👉Then when the search was over, you told us to open our eyes and tell us all to sit down.
😴ভয়ে আমি বসতে পারছিলাম না, কারণ আমার মনে হচ্ছিল একটু পরেই আপনি আমাকে ডাকবেন। না, আপনি তা না করে কলমটি সবাইকে দেখালেন এবং মালিককে ফেরৎ দিলেন।
👉I couldn’t sit in fear, because I thought you would call me after a while. No, you did not show the pen to everyone and returned it to the owner.
😴কলমটি যে চুরি করেছে তার নাম আপনি আর কখনও কাউকে বলেননি। আপনি আমাকে একটি কথাও বলেননি, এবং আপনি কখনও কারও কাছে গল্পটির উল্লেখও করেননি।
👉You never told anyone the name of the person who stole the pen. You never told me a word, and you never mentioned the story to anyone.
🙏স্যার , আপনি সেদিন আমার মর্যাদা রক্ষা করেছিলেন।এই ঘটনার পর আমি সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিলাম জীবনে আর অন্যের জিনিস ছুঁয়েও দেখব না। ”
👉Sir, you protected my dignity that day. After this incident I decided not to touch other people’s things in life. ”
🤷♀”স্যার, এখন গল্পটি মনে পড়েছে কি ? গল্পটি আপনার ভোলার কথা না !!””Sir, do you remember the story now? The story is not for you to forget !!”
💓🗣শিক্ষক জবাব দিলেন, ” হ্যাঁ! গল্পটি খুব ভালভাবেই মনে আছে আমার। তবে কার পকেটে কলমটি পাওয়া গিয়েছিল তা কখনো জানতে পারিনি। কারণ যখন আমি সবার পকেট চেক করছিলাম তখন আমি ইচ্ছে করেই তোমাদের মত নিজের চোখও বন্ধ করে রেখেছিলাম।”
👉The teacher replied, “Yes! I remember the story very well. But I never knew in whose pocket the pen was found. Because when I was checking everyone’s pockets, I deliberately closed my eyes just like yours.”
এভাবেই প্রাথমিক শিক্ষকরা আত্মমর্যাদা বোধসম্পন্ন জাতি গঠনে কাজ করে চলেন নিরন্তর। কিন্তু তাঁরা যথাযথ মর্যাদা পায়না। যতদিন না আমলারা এটা বুঝতে পারবো, ততদিন প্রাথমিক শিক্ষার মানোন্নয়ন ও জাতির প্রকৃত বিকাশ সম্ভব নয়। 💝💝
